May 09:
• Ironman
The club was asking for an update on the remain balance of the money that Ironman agreed to pay. Discussion centered around whether to continue participating in safety/drink station this year or just volunteer for river safety.
• Gear
Voted to eliminate policy of charging for use of club gear. Voted to replace old policy with a new one where members can use gear free of charge, applying a reservation policy that would attempt to fairly promote the borrowing of club gear. Mon-members would now be charged a nominal fee that would apply toward future membership, and would be required to sign a temporary membership/waiver in the meantime. Also discussed possibly adding a new forum and/or calendar to post rules and make reservations. Non-member policy would be retroactive as of Jan 1, 2009. Officer committee still to hash out details and will post final version.
• Camping & Club trips
Club agreed to pay camping for pre approved trips decided at February trip meeting. Explicitly noted are the Russel Fork & two Burnwood activities.
