The Viking Canoe Club works with American Whitewater to protect and restore rivers. Recently the Vikings donated $2,400 through the Ironman Foundation to help American Whitewater continue to maintain a national inventory of whitewater rivers, monitor potential threats to whitewater river resources, published information on river conservation, work with government agencies to protect the ability of the public to have a voice in the management of rivers, advocate for legislation protecting rivers and their aquatic resources, and provide technical advice for river conservation and management.
